Q.

Why should I use the online application system?

 A.

It is easy to use and is convenient. You can submit all the required documents and information and pay for the service online without having to send documents by post or fax or visiting the office personally. If your visa application is approved, we will also automatically upload your visa copy which you can download and print as per your convenience.

 

 

Q.

When do I need to apply for a visa?

A.

You can apply for a visa a maximum of 58 days before you travel, and a minimum of seven working days before you travel. We recommend you apply for your visa well in advance of travel.

 

 

Q.

Will I definitely get a visa if I apply online?

A.

The decision to grant U.A.E visa is entirely at the discretion of the country’s immigration authorities – Air Arabia cannot guarantee that your visa application will be accepted.

   

Q.

If I get a visa, am I guaranteed entry in to the U.A.E?

A.

The granting of a visa does not guarantee entry in to the U.A.E. The final decision is made by the immigration officer at the point of entry.

 

 

Q.

How long does it take to get a visa?

A.

If all required documents are submitted correctly, visa is normally issued within 5 working days.

 

 

Q.

Do I have to pay any security deposit?

A.

Depending on the merit of your application, our visa operations team will advise you if any deposit is required.

 

 

Q.

When will my security deposit be refunded?

A.

Once the visitor exits the U.A.E and the immigration authorities record the visitor’s departure, we will refund your security deposit within four international working days. Please make sure you get an exit stamp in your passport as you leave the U.A.E, in order to provide proof of departure to avoid any discrepancies. For rejected applications, the security deposit will be refunded within six working days of the application being returned. Please note if you paid by credit card, the refund may be shown on your next month’s statement.

Q.

My passport is expiring soon – can I still get a visa?

A.

The U.A.E Immigration office requires all visitors to have a passport that is valid for at least six months from the date of arrival. If your passport is valid for less than six months, you will need to renew it before you can apply for a visa and travel to the U.A.E.

 

 

Q.

Do children or infants need a visa?

A.

Yes, all passengers, including children and infants on a parent’s passport, must have a visa to enter the U.A.E. This also includes infants travelling on their parents’ lap.

 

 

Q.

How can I track the status of my visa application?

A.

When you complete your visa application, you will receive a TRIP ID and in the My Trips section you can see your active visa application with the latest status. We will also notify you through email once your visa application has been approved, rejected or if additional information is required.

 

 

Q.

Why was my visa application rejected?

A.

Unfortunately, the U.A.E Immigration authorities do not give reasons for rejecting visa applications and hence we cannot provide specific reasons why your application was rejected.

Does the visa fee include credit card charges?

A.

Will my visa fees be refunded if my application is rejected?

A.
